What is an Endodontist?

Endodontists are dentists who have completed advanced specialty education in diagnosis and root canal treatment accredited by the ADA Commission on Dental Accreditation.

They are exclusive to the practice of endodontics and treat these types of problems every day. Endodontists use their special training and experience to treat more complicated root canal treatment cases, such as teeth with narrow or blocked canals, or unusual anatomy. Endodontists may use specialized equipment and materials to treat these teeth.

Fun fact: There are only approximately 110 Endodontists in Washington State that are part of the Washington State Association of Endodontists.
